Hi,

Any suggestions for the problem outlined below would be most welcomed.

Thanks,
Mike

The problem:
    Attempts to control a Kodak DC-265 camera, connected via USB fail.

Details:
    The camera and cable work with another computer. Both computers
    are running RH6.2/2.2.14 with the usb backport.

    The camera is recognized - it shows up in /proc/bus/usb/devices.

    Some interrupts occur when I attempt to access the camera. The
    interrupt count in /proc/interrupts goes up. The count seems to
    increment 1 time for each attempt to contact the camera. Seems
    reasonable.

    I have tried using both UHCI drivers.

>From the message log:

    * camera on
    usb.c: USB new device connect, assigned device number 2
    dc2xx.c: USB Camera #0 connected

    * camera off
    usb.c: USB disconnect on device 2
    dc2xx.c: USB Camera #1 disconnected

    * ks -d /dev/dcxx0 status
    usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
    usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
    usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
    usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
    (4 interrupts occur during this period - /proc/interrupts)
