Hi,
End of last week I got a message to our rio devel list with a similar
error.  First I'd heard of it.  This was with p8 but it would seem
that the issue is beyond just storage.

Here's what I'd received, don't know if it'll help but . . .



When I plug in my Rio, I get the follow messages in dmesg:

I doubt it's a problem with the Rio; I was able to load it up with songs
using
Win98. Perhaps it's a USB problem, rather than a problem with the Rio 500
driver?

I'm using 2.3.99-pre8, with the alternate driver (uhci.o) and rio500.o
from the
kernel sources. If I try uhci-usb.o, my machine locks up when I plug in
the
Rio.

The motherboard is an Asus K7M; here's the USB output from lspci -v:
