Hi,

That's mostly a BIOS issue.  I know that
Phoenix Technologies has implemented USB boot from
floppy and Zip drives and are adding support for
LS-120 and CD-ROM drives.  Can't say about any
other BIOS vendors.

The Sony Vaio will boot from USB floppy (I've been
told).
