Thanks a million! You helped me find the problem.
I didn't expect the camera to display the internal memory and the
smartmedia memory card as two different LUN's with the same SCSI-id.
Because I compiled my kernel with the "Scan multple LUN's" option
turned off, it didn't detect the smartmedia card.
I tried the command `echo "scsi add-single-device 2 0 1 0" > /proc/scsi/scsi'
but didn't try `echo "scsi add-single-device 2 0 0 1" > /proc/scsi/scsi'!
That's all. It works now. Very embarassing.
The trace you attached to your reply put me on the right track.
Now all that's left is recompiling the kernel with the "Scan multple
LUN's" option turned on.
