Maybe one of the writers of the device driver can help you (rather than an
ignoramus like me). However I would suggest that you send the (relevant)
dmesg output with ONLY the USB-Ethernet device connected and in both
orders. (So used rmmod to remove the kaweth driver, lsmod to check that it
is gone, plug in the device and then insmod the driver etc). Your errors look
very much like those I get by loading the driver first. On the other hand
it could be something else!
What is the thing actually called? There might (horrors) be two devices
with the same manufactor/device identifiers.
