I have this CD writer. Although reading CD's works, writing is a tad of a
problem.
The most important thing you have to do to get it working, is to load
the usb_storage module (up to a certain version of the USB stack, I've
heard that this module is to be split up into several others?). This
module creates a USB<-->SCSI bridge, so that the CD writer can be accessed
as if it were a SCSI device. So you will also have to load various scsi
modules, and to get these, you'll have to reconfigure your kernel to
incorporate scsi support (if you didn't already).
Please, submit detailed reports of what commands you tried and what their
results were (stating the precise error message you got), and if possible,
also include relevant parts of kernel log files. Please have a look
at this mailinglist's archives for examples of how you should submit
a report.
