The cleanest way is to download Linux 2.2.16 and then
apply the backport patch, but this means that you would
be using plain vanilla Linux 2.2.16, without any additions
(patches) that Mandrake made to it.

Or you can try applying that backport patch to 2.2.15
and see if the patch program reports any errors.  If so,
they may be easily fixable -- I don't know.

Mandrake 7.1 includes the USB backport patch that was
current when 7.1 was mastered, so if you have Mandrake 7.1
you need to remove linux/drivers/usb/ and use the latest
backport patch instead.
