Hi USB'ers,
As most of you already know, several months ago the leaders of the
USB project started two other mailing lists on sourceforge.net:
linux-usb-devel and linux-usb-users. In order to avoid any
confusion that may arise from having two mailing lists with the same
purpose, I've agreed to start sending new subscription requests to
the new mailing lists at sourceforge. Of course, this implies that
595 people that are subscribed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] should move to
the new sourceforge list.
However, I really don't want any of the current subscribers to feel
like SuSE is betraying them, lying, cheating, or otherwise swindling
them either so here's my proposal. At the end of next week (Sept
22) I will count up the number of people still subscribed to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and if that number is less than 20 (the number of
subscribers to our least used list) than I will rename
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and we can keep the list for
SuSE-specific USB topics. If you are one of the people that are
still subscribed on the 22nd, I'll handle the re-subscription for
you. If you want to unsubscribe from [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
subscribe to one or both of the new lists at sourceforge, please do
the following:
1) send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
follow the directions you get on the unsubscribe
confirmation. The easiest way to do this is
echo | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
2) Go to http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=3581 and
subscribe to the new USB lists.
If it turns out that there is sufficient interest in a SuSE-specific
USB mailing list, just stay subscribed and I'll move you to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Your questions and comments are welcome and appreciated. You can
either email me directly or we can discuss it on the list. I
personally apologize if all of this is inconvenient, but I'm trying
to find a solution that makes everyone involved happy.
