When connecting a eternal usb dd Western Digital My Passport usb 3.0

It only detects the internal ssd.
I'm using uefi at boot.
Tried with kernel-lts 3.10.12 but got the same error. It gets detected
in other non linux OSes and older kernels with bios at boot.
