The error code in that bug report is -84, which indicates either that the device has stopped working or that the cable is no longer transmitting packets correctly. The fact that the log says that the device disconnected right after the errors occurred confirms this. It seems unlikely that this disconnection was caused by a bug in the driver, which leaves bad hardware as the remaining possibility.
