Hey Jan,
i think most of these problems are with glibc, as opposed to the libc that i'm
using. (from an old slackware) i think there is a bunch of patches lying about
on Jeremy's userfs page that you could merge to try to get it to work with
glibc... i'll upgrade my libc to glibc-2.1.1 and try to get things to work...
though i'm worried that this might envolve more than just a new c library :-(
appologies for the hastles, i should put a note on my page saying that the
code is still being refined.
