Previously, when necessary, I've downloaded source RPMs, gone into the
src directory, made and installed them.

I understand there is supposed to be an automatic way, something like:

        rpm --rebuild libxml2-2.4.2-1.src.rpm

However, although the --rebuild option is specified in the rpm man
pages, rpm itself (rpm-4.0.2-6x) does not seem to recognise that option,
or have it in the built-in help.

So is there a newer RPM sub-command that does this or something?
