That would be very much appreciated.
I have installed Mandrake i586 'on more that one occasion' but not as
frequently as 'do it every day mate'.
I am particularly interested to know how it works out on a PPC based
machine.
My son's school has a clutch of iMacs and I think it would be a good
idea for the children to have a choice of o/s.
I would be game to give it a go 'with you', as opposed to 'for you',
provided that:-
You understand that none of us have every done exactly what you want to
do, therefore it could all turn to custard with the greatest of ease.
Neither we, the Christchurch Linux Users Group, nor I, have any
responsibility as to the disposal of the resulting pie.
You have backed up the whole of your existing setup, or at least can
re-install the existing o/s and applications from scratch.
On a i586 PC Mandrake does all the right things to dual boot, but I have
no idea what happens on a PPC install. I just don't know.

In the meantime you might care to read:-

I am a convert to gentoo linux. For me, having several years of unix and
Linux experience, it's just what I need and want.
I will get a PPC install .iso disk prepared.
