Hansen, try typing this at a root prompt (ie logged in as root)

modprobe ntfs

tell us what result you get. also straight after

tail /var/log/messages

dmesg|tail

and tell us what each output says.

then type 

locate ntfs.o

and tell us what output you get. This will tell us if you have the ntfs
module on your system. (if you get an output that there is no database
or something like that type

updatedb

and it will create a database of all files on your system, (it may take
a while, be patient) then retry the locate command as above.


If its not here tyou will have to compile the module.
