Hi-ho. I'm using phpnuke with a few mods here at the council, and it's going OK so far, put it in in Early June.
The main mod was a document storage module that I found which was written for V4 of phpnuke and I've upgraded and modified a bit. We don't have a knowledge base there yet (as a business, or on the intranet). Our first move towards that will be using the 'FAQ' functionality to try and get users used to the idea... A good percentage of our Intranet's purpose is culture change rather than information management. In terms of OSS content management phpnuke is a very good base to work up from... Cheers, Chris H. -----Original Message----- From: Bjorn Nilsen I want to set up a Intranet web site here at work. I have looked at PHPnuke and phpwiki, and neither are really suitable. PHPNuke is more of a news portal eg: Slashdot and phpwiki is just weird. The main features I need is: - Document publishing - Knowledge Base - File download area Any ideas? cheers, Bjorn ###################################################################### The contents of this e-mail message may be privileged and/or confidential.
