I've heard about LaTeX but still haven't seen it yet. Is it > available on RH7.3? How do I start it up? (I might not have fully explored the > "taskbar" yet) LaTeX isn't an app to run as such, it is a markup language, so you write it in plain ascii, with markup tags, and the compile it, using the app latex, of pdflatex (turns it straight into pdf), or any number of other ones. You can get a free pdf manual (or ps or whatever you prefer) from here: http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/info/lshort/english/ Its called 'The Not So Short Introduction to LaTeX2e' and is really really useful. The file you'll want is actually called lshort.pdf Have a read, and you'll be 'texing before you know it. > > Cheers, > Hansen > Cheers, Steve -- )--------------------Stephen Nicholas--------------------( Uni Hall Ph: (03) 341 1500 Private Bag 4760 Extn: 54419 Christchurch 021 504 412 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 70245950 )---------------www.steve.nicholas.net.nz----------------(
