Most of the cheaper capture cards are BT878 based (which is fully
supported by the bttv driver), I understand the DSE unbranded capture
cards are definately BT878 variants. (Certainly the cheap cards I've got
from them in the past have been BT878 based..)

Just check to see the main chip is labeled BT878, and you should be fine.

Don't expect more than 1/2 PAL resolution capture at full framerate, but
they're not too bad otherwise.
