My hard drive is about to die. I am encountering bad clusters on a partition used for windows. The windows scan disk gives up when it reaches a certain point through the surface scan.
I can still boot the linux system on the disk, and am wondering whether there is a linux tool which could repair the windows partition / perform a surface scan and mark blocks as bad. Guy
