Hi all, I'm a dude living in Dublin, Ireland. I want to go and live somewhere else for a couple of years before I turn into and old bastard :-) Me and my girlfriend are trying to decide where to go. We're considering Canada, France, Australia ( although it isn't really a runner ) or New Zealand. Friends have told me that you get some nice deep powder during the winter ( is this true ? ).
Anyhows I'm going to be heading off in July or August next year and I want to know what the chances of getting a decent job down there are. I mainly do Linux/Windows Sys Admin/Integration and J2EE programming. From what I hear New Zealand is progressive towards Linux and one of your Airlines and a couple of high profile financials have implimented Linux based systems ..... is this hype or is that the direction people are going ?
