Only too true - I'm getting on to Westburn Primary where my kids go - the
only teacher who had any knowledge of computing (limited as it was) has
taken sabbatical leave. Even then, he doubled as assistant principal AND
had to teach!

Now they have no-one really who is in any way computer savvy.

I am hoping to get a say in their computer hardware/software direction and
point them at Linux.

Is there anyone on the list interested in helping us set up hte machines if
I can pursuade them to change, or in the consultation process? Or who
thinks they could put together a simple set of lessons for primary students
in computer use, which they could give out (say between Varsity lectures
for instance, instead of killing time in the cafe?) Or better still, a set
of classes for the teachers (Chris - a chance for you to make some money
here?)
