Last time I had to install the NVida drivers for a computer I had no end
of problems with rpm. Downloaded the source tar.gz files, decompressed
them, typed make, and they automatically installed. I couldn't quite
believe that the source files installed so easily, and was, in fact,
worried because the process was so simple.
