How are we going to organise IP addresses? I think the easiest way (in distcc terms) would be to have static addresses, with a whiteboard of IP address :: machine specs (to help with order of DISTCC_HOSTS var)
Of course I have no experience setting up DHCP (so DHCP might be better), but I suspect that this may be the easiest way to get sorted (esp knoppix looks likely as a base & we will therefore need to change hostnames anyway). Also, having the definitive DISTCC_HOSTS environment in an NFS mounted directory might be handy (to ensure that the grunty machines are getting hammered first) Thoughts?
