This just isn't true. I use multiple primary partitions almost
exclusively when building Windows machines, and it works just fine.
There is no reason that it shouldn't.
The one 'gotcha' that you might see with the DOS based Windows systems
is that they will always assign drive letters to the primary partitions
first. This means that if you add an additional primary partition and
boot Windows, your drives will have been shuffled around.
