just run it.

its probably more convenient to put it in a directory in your path like
/bin or more likely /usr/local/bin

gentoo puts it in /usr/bin , i would do the same for mandrake.

you have to make it executable too, and check permissions. gentoo does
this with it:

ls -l /usr/bin/album
-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root        66368 Dec  4 07:26 /usr/bin/album


if you go qpkg -l album on your gento system it will show you the other
files that it installs.
