The 8139cp module is for the 8139C+ chip, which is apparently quite different to the 8139 A/B/C/D, 8100 and 8102 chips that are supported by the 8139too module. I've got some brand new edimax NICs inside some digital venturis P166 machines, and they are locking up hard when loading version 0.9.29 so I've read rather a lot of docs on this lately. And sodding outhouse won't bottom post at all... This is not looking to be a good day.
