There is only one FM for qmail, and that's the book/website "Life With
qmail". If you deviate from the setup described here, the qmail mailing
list will not assist you with newbie questions without a lot of
friction. I assume that you also installed ucspi-tcp,daemontools,djbdns?

For my paid work, I have to know qmail reasonably well. I hate it
intensely, not least because it processes messages very very quickly,
usually quicker than most other MTAs. If I had the choice, I'd rip the
whole freaking mess out and replace it with Exim or Postfix, which is at
least documented from the point of view that you might not want to run
*exactly* the example setup ...

Also, for any generally-accepted definition of "Open Source", qmail is
not. It has no license. It is protected solely by copyright, which
grants no modify/redistribute rights.
