gftp is approx a 1M download, or 30-40 secs on Rob's 256K jetstream
connection, and, at a guess, 15 mins compiling. remember the binaries are
only a reference platform to get you going, not a compiled version of every
program that ever existed ;-)
maybe more, maybe less. probably less, but i don't want to disappoint you :-)
I'll be interested to see it. Myself, I usually browse ftp repositories with
my web browser and then use wget to download anything worthwhile.
