It would appear, or at least I would hope it appears thus that you are the proud owner of a *hyperthreading* P4 3.00 GHz, something Linux is fully aware of...hyperthreading of course reputed to being similar to SMP (symmetrical multi-whatsithandle thingy)...
Not sure this helps or not, but I'd not worry too much since Intels hyperthreading can apparently be quite a nice thing...
