Hi ya'll... Umm... thanks for the input/feedback... :$ So, the module supports the kernel...?
Best to not pick fights (although seems appropriate to make the toilet "Designed for Microsoft Windows")... as Microsoft seem to have a fondness for the toilet/sh*t... and sh*tting 'round the world (unfortunately). :$ Better if fights can be avoided, but are (unfortunately) not always avoidable (ref. Bhagavad-gita). "Blessed are the peace-makers...". Peace be with all... :) Regards, Bhaktavatsala Dasa (Vatsala) @ http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~vatsalaji - Hare Krishna! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael JasonSmith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "linux users" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, November 01, 2004 9:56 AM Subject: Re: Getting connected with Linux... > On Sun, 2004-10-31 at 20:02, Christopher Sawtell wrote: > > On Sun, 31 Oct 2004 19:54, eBhakta wrote: > > > Module...? > > Kernel file system driver. > Or to put it another way: you can think of a module as small program > that carries out a specific tasks in the operating system, such as > reading a particular type of disk, or communicating with certain type of > hardware. > > <tech> > Weather the module is really a separate program or a part of > core operating system "kernel" really depends on the operating > system, the module, and weather you want to start a fight with > Matthew or Volker :P > </tech> > -- > Michael JasonSmith http://www.ldots.org/ > > >
