Get ADSL, set up ssh. Log onto your box at home and write them in a text file or somethin'. Now that's cool.
Run Unison over that ssh connection, to keep a directory tree at both ends synchronised - set the cron timer to just under half your normal office<->home commute time, and you can pretty much guarantee that your files will make it home before you do!
