Hi all,
A cordial invitation is extended to all GNU/Linux users and intended users, to participate in the inaugural GNU/Linux User support workshop.
It starts next *Wednesday, March 2nd, at 7.30pm in the Sydenham Community Association Hall, 25 Hutcheson Street, Christchurch.*
We have an experienced Debian user, Timothy Musson, who will be showing us around his workaday computer environment. The session will be directed from the floor, through question and answer.
GNU/Linux setup CDs will be available for new users. Debian CDs will require someone burning spare sets to bring along - please request.
One keyword has emerged from email discussions, which may also arise, and is future "project" planning. Making a home security system on GNU/Linux is one example idea that has been provided. PC system security training is another. But it is your meeting, to decide what focii are wanted to go on with.
Hoping to see you there,
Cheers,
Rik
