<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> was rumoured to say:
I would suggest turning up the cups logging and looking at the log output.

I changed the logging to debug, restarted CUPS and sent one job to the Epson and one job to my LaserJet. The job sent to the Epson resulted in over 1700 lines of output, which was a repeat of:

D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] cups->header.Duplex = 0
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] cups->page = 1
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] cups->ppd = 0x8a75b68
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] cups->ppd->flip_duplex = 0
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] width = 2892, height = 3884
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] PageSize = [ 595 841 ], HWResolution = [ 360 360 ]
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] HWMargins = [ 8.400 56.600 8.400 8.400 ]
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] [Job 32] matrix = [ 5.000 0.000 0.000 -5.000 -42.000 4163.000 ]

followed at the end by:

D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] UpdateJob: job 32, file 0 is complete.
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] CancelJob: id = 32
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] StopJob: id = 32, force = 0
D [22/Dec/2005:19:51:39] StopJob: printer state is 3.

The last 300 odd lines of the file related to the job sent to the LaserJet and I could make sense of what was happening with the LJ.

So there doesn't appear to be any useful output regarding the Epson. I have since installed the latest version of CUPS; well I thought I had. When I check the version (via YaST) it still shows the old version.

Cheers,
Chris
