I have an ZyXEL external U-1496E. It does fax, and data at only 14,400 very well, and purports to do voice, but I have never used it in voice mode. It cost me $400 about ten to fifteen years ago. Goodness only knows what it's worth today. The firmware has been updated from time to time. It would have been current in about 1998. -- CS
