Ross, don't know if you found a solution but I had this problem about 6 months ago, I solved it (I think) by making /etc/ppp/options look like this: === cut here === lock noauth defaultroute ipcp-max-configure 65 ipcp-accept-local ipcp-accept-remote === cut here === I can't recall where I found the info but it appears to work here.
