Keep it, it's a spare. Also, it's solid core, not stranded, so it will probably stop working when it gets bent too much and one of the cores breaks. I stuck crimp plugs on the ends of all the cat5 off-cuts after I cabled my house :-) When I get home tonite, or some time tomorrow, I'll see if I can get the USB pen drives to automount. I'm pretty sure hotplug got installed. Anyway, it's working if Julia can use OOo and I can use LyX and both of us can browse the net, and since we can, it is. The rest is icing. Yuri
