No, not an unreasonable requirement, but I wonder whether you're going about it the wrong way. The typical way is to make one OS your primary OS, and to compartmentalise all other OSes away into their own boxes, ehem windows, where they can be called up from at any time you need them. The new vitualisation support intergrated into CPUs now in the pipeline will help that, but it'll probably also allow you to run multiple OSes at their full potential in parallel.
