What I would like to show is the system of prototyping an idea using off the shelf components and Linux as the development system. Possibly a simple idea like a TXT message controlled switch, converting your IR remote to use RF, Making a GPS bug to log movement to a memory card, etc. Topics: - Trends in embedded development - "Prototyping" - Embedded controllers - The GNU development system (cross-compiling, JTAG via GDB) - Embedded linux (hacking the kernel, and building a mini root filesystem) - Project?
