The next available slot is the December meeting which would be fine by
me.

What I would like to show is the system of prototyping an idea using off
the shelf components and Linux as the development system. Possibly a
simple idea like a TXT message controlled switch, converting your IR
remote to use RF, Making a GPS bug to log movement to a memory card, etc.

Topics:

- Trends in embedded development
- "Prototyping"
- Embedded controllers
- The GNU development system (cross-compiling, JTAG via GDB)
- Embedded linux (hacking the kernel, and building a mini root filesystem)
- Project?

Feedback?

Ben
