However-2. I installed PC-BSD the other month and found the install process by far the simplest I have experienced. While it may be heresy to say it here, I can duck the missiles, it just worked for me. It comes with a packaging system all of its own as well as using the FreeBSD ports system. Some of the packages were not as up to date as those to which I am accusomed on my Linux distribution of choice, but overall I can wholeheartedly recommend it, both for new refugees and also for the more seasoned of us wanting to have a go with a BSD unix. http://www.pcbsd.org I notice that there is an image for use with VMware player. ( At the bottom of the downwoad page ) That might be very useful for somebody who not only is timid about about changing partitions, but prefers a designed o/s rather than one which evolved. btw. Is there a "Linux of Choice" for running inside VMware? -- CS
