Hi, One LAN and one WAN only I think. The WAN interface has some special settings for various services, the LAN interface is I suspect more a matter of simplicity and is in part only a name. Setting up other interfaces is certainly possible, they come up as OPT1 (Optional) etc and can be configured as you like (including name) thereafter. You can do that through the console (initially needs to be done through console to assign initial interfaces) and after that either from the console or web gui. The firewall rules reference the interface names as well.
Best doco for that side of things is probably the Monowall website which is what pfsense is based on: www.m0n0.ch Pfsense works pretty well and functions in a fairly straightforward manner. I have a machine currently running a beta of the upcoming release but bugs can be found even in the release versions :) Cheers L Mike Pearce wrote: > Anyone had experience setting PFSense up with multipule > networks? > > Had an hour spare to have a play and have a box up and > running with 5 networks cards. > > 1 to WAN > > 4 x LAN > 3 for the people I share the connection with. > 1 for a wireless Router > > Currently looks like I can only set up one LAN. > > Mike >
