Hi,

One LAN and one WAN only I think. The WAN interface has some special
settings for various services, the LAN interface is I suspect more a
matter of simplicity and is in part only a name. Setting up other
interfaces is certainly possible, they come up as OPT1 (Optional) etc
and can be configured as you like (including name) thereafter. You can
do that through the console (initially needs to be done through console
to assign initial interfaces) and after that either from the console or
web gui. The firewall rules reference the interface names as well.

Pfsense works pretty well and functions in a fairly straightforward
manner. I have a machine currently running a beta of the upcoming
release but bugs can be found even in the release versions :)
