I have tried and quite liked SuSe before 10.2 but now I am trying 10.3 an a laptop (and on VMWare) and I am frustrated.
Hopefully it is something small/easy to change to make me like it better. It seems to take ages (maybe 10 minutes) to try "checking for updates" then failing and browsing seems very laboured. In desperation I even connected a different ADSL modem and took out the IPCop box and Wireless access point/router/dhcp server but that did not help. Have have the following repos added... Main Repository (OSS) download.opesuse.org /repositories/openSUSE:10.3/standard/ Main Repository (NON-OSS) download.opesuse.org /distribution/10.3/repo/non-oss/ Do I....... Add/change repos? Turn off Auto refresh? Take laptop to a SuSE guru's home for a lesson/play? Volker? Any CLUGers have ideas? Rob
