My initial reaction is that you have some encoding problem .. see if you
can change the default encoding to read ISO 8859-1 ..

Wife last night had a look at some of her emails she'd had stored and
instead of being able to read the emails (3 viewed and got trashed) they
got corrupted in the following ways.
1. Subject lines got changed to unknowen
2. body of emails either where blank or converted to unreadable square
boxes
can some one suggest a way of ensuring my dearest and meanest doesn't
have this trouble again?
She really gave me ear ache in the worse way.
I'll be googling this also but thought i'd get some help from the list
too.
