I have the 1600 Chris refers to. It has a usb port & cups 1.3.0 did not do a good job of setting it up. Getting the uri correct was the problem (my lack of knowledge?) I also have it running under cups 1.2.9 and it just goes. the 2600 version has an ethernet port and I think usb as well. It prints reasonable photos as well as great text.
