1) One option is to use a splitter cable on line out which you plug into
both the headphones and line in.

5) One of the most promising solutions I've seen:

They had a beta version available for Linux which was very buggy but
worked very well when it did work. However, they've taken that off the
download page for the moment because it was a bit too unstable.
