adsl-setup adsl-start adsl-stop that's all I used. I generated two /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf and cp them to /etc/ppp/pppoe.demand and /etc/ppp/pppoe.persist respectively. I called adsl-start with the right one at different time.
FYI, the rp-pppoe in redhat 7.x didn't expect you to use adsl-setup. she expected you to edit a file /etc/... which is less than trivial.
