Roger,

I use Kylix 2 Professional. I started w/Kylix 1 Pro and it wasn't all
that great cross-compiling due to the wine influence. I had a project
that I cross-compiled using mysql as the database engine. I know it is
not a transactional database yet, (mysql 4.0 is supposed to be), and
an inventory table kept getting fouled up when I ran the app under linux.
The app was critical so I had to just stick to windoze. I did find that
interbase seemed easier under linux than windoze using Kylix 2, but
haven't done much with this.

I am a casual user and amateur programmer, but I have been using Delphi
to write apps for myself since veriosn 1.0. I found the free pascal
program just didn't work for me or what I was trying to write.

HTH,

Regards,

Keith B.
