Anyone who has used fluxbox/blackbox/openbox know if it's possible to edit the menus? To add your own items?
I use blackbox. Yes, you can edit the menu. You can google for genmenu which works well with blackbox. After you run it, then open up ~/.blackbox/menu in your editor and add what you like. If you don't want to use genmenu, then find where the blackbox menu and following the defaults just add your own stuff. Kind Regards, Dallam
Thanks for the reply. I see the menu file under .blackbox and .fluxbox has a similar file, but openbox just has a 'rc' file, no menu. I'll peruse their docs.
Ah!, this may help me:
==================
Configuring Openbox:
---------------------
The next thing most users want to do after installing Openbox is to configure
the colors, fonts, menus, etc. to their liking. This is covered by the files
data/README, data/README.menu and data/README.style. These files give
detailed information on how to customize your new window manager.

Oops, nope, need the source tree. I'm off to their web site.
