I'm going to move away from SUSE, but before I do that I must resize partitions. SUSE provides parted 1.6.3; it doesn't seem to work with reiserfs. The latest is 1.6.5, which acc/to GNU's site, will work with reiser if progsreiserfs is installed. Did that. But when I tried to configure parted, it failed - couldn't find libuuid. I have that, as e2fsprogs is installed. I went through the documentation, configure --help, etc. and couldn't find how to pass the location to configure. I'm probably missing something very obvious here. Why would SUSE provide a parted which won't read the default fs? Also, SUSE doesn't seem to provide an updated parted, and some of that YAST stuff depends on it. I hope the newer parted, installed with checkinstall, won't break anything. But who knows??
Any advice appreciated. Thanks. -- Ed Jabbour _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
