You are right. I didn't, but after my first message, I installed galeon anyway 
(--nodeps) to see if it would work by any chance. Only then I get the segfault popup. 
I use RedHat 8.0 upgraded from 7.1. I didn't experience any problem with the system 
before the mozilla upgrade. I think I am going to build galeon from source.
