I'm novice in linux, I can't use my USB Harddisk in RedHat Linux 8.0. What is the procedure and command to mount the USB HDD ?

Open a terminal and become root. Enter the following command: tail -f /var/log/messages
then plug in and turn on your usb device. Wait to see if it is recognized. messages should give you a clue as to what device it is.
You may ned to update your kernel, since usb support is in progress.
usbview is helpful.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is a good newsgroup for usb.
