Everytime I read an article by proponents of FSF. I am suprised and amazed that the world in general has allowed itself to believe the Marketing hype of large companies above reasoned judgement.Eben Moglen is professor of law at Columbia University Law School. He serves without fee as General Counsel of the Free Software Foundation. You can read more of his writing at moglen.law.columbia.edu
I must say until I read the article by the peruvian government ministers point by point rebuttal of a microsoft execs letter. I didn't see how greatly microsoft had manipulated government/companies/individuals to maintain it's dominance.
I suppose Public Enemy said it best "Don't believe the hype".
At least now the global community is waking up and asking; Why do we have to upgrade every two years? Why can't we access our data in formats that don't require a costly access license? Why have better technologies been squashed in favour of MS?
